Though accurate figures can be given for Carter’s batting, and fielding the bowling figures are incomplete for no bowling analysis can be found for his last game, when he played for I Zingari against Yorkshire at Scarborough in 1882. He did take one wicket in that game but as Yorkshire scored 407 it is likely that Carter had an unhappy analysis.
