About the author Darren Senior was born in Taunton, Somerset, by accident; his father was working at Butlin’s, Minehead; both of his parents are from Yorkshire; and he has lived in Brighouse, West Yorkshire all his life. He has a BA honours degree in business studies from Bradford University, and is the finance director of a school academy in Halifax. A long-term member of the ACS since 1980, joining as a young teenager, he has recently compiled a statistical history of the Somerset Stragglers (more than 2700 matches). He writes biographies on film and television stars and has contributed to a number of magazines and books. Married for 25 years, he has two children.
