ABOUT THE AUTHOR Steve Dolman was born at Ripley in Derbyshire and first saw the county cricket team in 1968. He has written numerous magazine articles and in 2008 started the award-winning Peakfan Blog on Derbyshire cricket. It has become a huge success, being viewed in over 32 countries. Having spent many years in local government and the civil service, he now works in retail and lives in a quiet semi-rural village north of Glasgow with his wife and two children. Among his many other hobbies are following Derby County FC, reading, films and gardening.
