123 Acknowledgements of Londesborough Park Cricket Club, kindly sent me a brief history of that club. Roy Wilkinson, the noted Yorkshire CCC statistician, helped me try to resolve discrepancies between Yorkshire records and CricketArchive. Many others helped with thoughts and comments. David Jeater who has edited so many books in this series encouraged me when I faltered on the idea of writing this book, and then read through my first draft making many useful suggestions for improvements to it. David Pracy took on the editorial role and my debt to him is enormous. Over the last year prior to publication he and I have been in constant touch and his suggestions, corrections, discoveries and ideas have made the book a much more rounded publication than that with which he was first presented.
