He scored 6,783 runs, average 26.60; took 374 wickets, average 37.34; and made 73 catches. He was Warwickshire captain in 1999 and 2000. He played in 330 List A limited-overs matches, including seven one-day internationals for England in the 1995/96 and 1996 seasons. He scored 4,967 runs, av 21.22; took 306 wickets at 27.52; and made 100 catches. He played in one season of Twenty20 cricket.
