Lives in Cricket No 24 - Edgar Willsher
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Giles Phillips has been a Kent supporter all his life, having grown up idolising Alan Knott and Derek Underwood in their considerable pomp. Edgar Willsher always attracted him as a potential literary subject, but only when middle age hit did he finally get round to tackling it. Since moving to Cambridge at the turn of the century, he has been an avid follower of CUCC, and indeed his first book, On Fenner’s Sward , published in 2005, was a history of the Club. He works in further education in Cambridge, and lives within a steepling six-hit of Ely Cathedral.
