Elizabeth Foster (née Rowbotham) (mother), 1860-1943; chairman of Foster Brothers Ltd, 1918-1943 Harry Foster (oldest brother), 1880-1960; ed King Edward’s School, Birmingham; managing director of Foster Brothers Ltd, 1919-1950; vice-president of Warwickshire C.C.C.; presented an engraved cigarette box in memory of F.R.Foster to the club in 1960; his daughter Pamela married T.L.Robinson, who played four matches for Warwickshire in 1946. Edgar Foster (brother), 1899-1977; ed The Leys School, Cambridge; director of Foster Brothers Ltd; played rugby union for Moseley; well known for diving exploits, including in 1953 a dive of 80ft into New York Harbour from sun deck of Queen Elizabeth, another time did same from top deck of Mauretania but record was 97ft from the liner Orama and at age 73 made 33ft dive at Fairfax Street Baths, Coventry, while saluting, to aid a fund for a kidney machine at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham in memory of David Parsons of Acocks Green who died in 1970. David William Foster (son), 1916-2008; ed Repton School, playing in cricket XI 1932-1934, as right hand bat and off-break bowler; lieutenant in King’s Light Infantry in Second World War; later Welfare Officer at Brecon; had two daughters. John Pritchard Foster (son), 1918-2006; played tennis for Warwickshire. captain in Royal Artillery in Second World War; managing director of Foster Brothers Ltd, 1961-73; had two daughters.
