ABOUT THE AUTHOR Roger Moulton was born in 1942 and was educated at St Paul’s School and St John’s College, Durham University. More or less all of his working life was spent in teaching firstly at Hurstpierpoint College Prep School, where for 28 years he was Head of History and coached Under-13 cricket and latterly at Handcross Park School, where he was Head of English and coached Under-11 cricket. A devoted follower of cricket since the Fourth Test at Leeds in 1953, he was a regular spectator at Lord’s and The Oval until a move to Lincoln led to him to Trent Bridge, where he was a Notts member from 1962 to 1967. Currently he is a member of both Surrey and Sussex County Cricket Clubs as well as the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians and The Cricket Society. Married with two sons and three grandsons he has lived at Hurstpierpoint, Sussex since 1968. He has been a member of the ACS committee since 2009.
