ABOUT THE AUTHORS Bob Harragan, born in Romford in Essex in 1954, has lived in Llanelli in Carmarthenshire since 1972; he is a freelance journalist specialising in schools and youth cricket. He has published books and articles on a wide range of Welsh sporting topics, particularly on the Principality’s early cricket history, and is researching the lives of future contributions to this series. He is a committee member of Dafen Welfare C.C., the home club of Jeff and Simon Jones. In recent years he has been manager of Carmarthenshire junior sides. Andrew Hignell combines duties as Glamorgan County Cricket Club’s Heritage and Education Manager with those of the club’s First Eleven scorer. He is also the Secretary of the ACS, and is a well-known author, broadcaster and cricket historian, having written some fifteen books, chiefly on Welsh and Glamorgan cricket. A graduate of the Universities of Exeter and Cardiff, Andrew previously taught geography at Blundell’s School, Tiverton and Wells Cathedral School in Somerset.
