James Lillywhite's Cricketers' Companion 1885
of Mr. Studd’s absence from the return matches reference lias already been made. Mr. Webbe played in every county match but one, and his average has risen from 21.6 to 24.7. Of the bowling there is little to be said, but a word of hearty praise is due to Burton, whose average, all things considered, is a very g00d one. Mr. llobertson’s wickets cost 20 runs each, but his bowling -was vastly better than in 1883, ‘JO I BATTING AVERAGES. M ost in M ost in Times M a tch e s . In n s .
