Blair, very fine bat, w ith fast run -getting pow ers ; a fast b ow le r ; of great use at times, but inclined to be short. II. H. Dobinson, good , steady bat, with much improved h itting p ow e rs ; safe field. H. T. Arnall, slow left-hand bow ler, with good com­ mand o f the ball both as regards p itch and b r e a k ; hard hitter, generally making runs when most wanted. W . M. Tatbam , began the season in great form, but fellolf considerab ly towards the e n d ; excellent cover -po in t , and good captain . W. J. Barry, a pretty bat, but lacks p ow e r ; rather slow in the field. J. A. Dun, scarcely so success­ fu l with th e bat as he was in the prev ious year, seemed to have lost some of his old freed om ; fine field at long leg . A . M. Latham fe ll short o f last year ’ s form with the bat, but was inva luab le as w icket-keeper . H. II.
