Perhaps the best amateur fast bow ler in England . In the early pa rt o f last season he was very successful, but the hard w ork o f continuous bow ling greatly told upon him. Flayed in several o f the representative matches against the Australians, and rendered very good service to Kent. He bats fa irly , and is a good field and certa in catch. C.
