Watson and Barlow bowled uncommonly well, and gained for their county an easy victory. Watson took, in all, 9 wickets for 61 runs, and Barlow 7 for 42. The best scorers for the home team were: F. H. Sugg (6 and 20), Mr. Docker (21 and 1), and Mr. A. H. Cochrane (21 and 0 ), Barlow and Mr. Hornby played capitally for the winners, and put on 96 runs while they were together, Barlow scoring 61 and his captain 55.
