Showers during the day had made the wicket rather false, hut we hardly expected to lose 3 wickets for 6 runs. I t was not t i l l Messrs. Vernon and Leslie got together on the second day that a stand was made; these two old Rugby Captains carried the score from 40 to 83 ere the former was bowled. The innings closed for 117, Mr. Leslie 48 (not out). In their second innings, Sandhurst scored 119, Mackay 29, Tierce 26. Mx*. G. B.
