The balance-sheet for the season 1882-3 contains some items of special interest. During the past year subscriptions to the amount of £3,181 were received from members, as against £2,809 in 1881-2. The gross receipts from the All-England Eleven matches were £9,156, and the expenditure £6,555, leaving a profit of £2,681. Of this profit £1,104 was transferred to the building account, and £1,486 credited to current revenue. The stand receipts from the intercolonial match were £59, from the All-England matches £1,052, and from football matches £303. Matches played, 1G— won 10, lost 2, drawn 4.
