Marum (24.3), a good steady bat, particularly against slow bow ling ; bowls over.arm, medium paced, sometimes dangerous. F. Little (17), steady bat; as bowler very effective against timid batsmen; medium paced, over-band. T. Crean (11.2), middling b a t ; fair field. E. Dalton (^), excellent fie*d; nice bat, but failed to score. C. Dalton (11.7), fine wicket-keeper; good bat, and w ill improve. R. Little (18.6), a good scorer when set; slow in the field. F. Harney (17.1), steady ba t ; exceptional as a fielder both at stopping and returning the ball. M. Ffrench (12.22), promising bat; v**ry good bowler, particularly effective towards the end of the term; over.arm, medium-paced. P. Hosty (16.6). steady bat, hits weil to leg ; slow over-arm change bowler. R. Fair (16.9), nice bat, but unfortunate; good field and very good long-stop. F. Maguire (7.4), middling bat. N E PT U N E .— Sec., A. P. McSweeny, 38, Park Avenue, Sandymount, Co. Dublin. Members, 79. Ground, about 4 acres, situated Co. Dublin, 10 minutes’ walk from the railway station (Dublin and Bray Line). The past season has been a most successful one for the Neptune, whose members played 36 matches—won 36 and lost 1. The bat for the highest average falls to Mr. A. P. McSweeny, who reached the century four times, viz., 112 (not out), 184, 160 (not out), and 122 ; and a ball each to Messrs. A. P. McSweeny and J. A. F. Scriven.
