(14), good bat, with excellent defence ; moderate field, C. Caldecott (13.8), good bat, cutting w e l l ; useful field, a . J. Carter (12.3), the wicket-keeper of the eleven; very patient, bat, and generally manages to get double figures. J. Cruickshank (11.3), medium bowler, with good break; invaluable to the eleven, generally securing most of the wickets ; keeps a good length, and does not tire quickly; fine bat, with good forward play. C. Y. Shuter (10.7), very pretty bat, especially on the otf side. W. S. Brown (8.8), the captain of ibe team; good faM bowler anu splendid field ; did not show his true form in batting. \Y. J. Lee (8.7), uncertain bat; bowled well during tlie season; moderate field. W. E. Audland (7), good sound bat, often getting runs when wanted. S. Woodhams (4.8), very fair bat, but poor field.
