Distance from Addlestone Station, 6minutes. Matches, 9—won 5, lost 2, drawn 2. Kelly, a really fine left-handed batsman, most reliable throughout the season; is particularly effective on the off side; played several fine innings, notably his 203 v Esher C.C.; a useful change bowler, and very good field at mid-off. Renault, a capital run-getting bat, with patience and a good style; proved useful to the eleven; bowls a straight ball, but not difficult; slow in the field. Ullathorne gave general satisfaction as captain; fine hard-hitting bat, though rather off his luck this season; a good slow bowler, with lots of patience and judgment; good field anywhere, and a capital wicket-keeper. Austin Jacksou, a very etfeciive fast bowler, fielding his own bowling well; a hard-hitting bat; lias been a most useful man to the eleven. De Murrieta was very successful as a bat throughout the season; has a taking style; uncertain field. Gaisford plays well, with a good cut, but greatly wanting in patience, and is a bad hit; a safe catch and good field. * Wheble, as a bat, has good hitting powers; a fair change bowler and good out-field, being a very 6afe catch, and has a sharp return. De Murrieta has fallen off all round fromhis partiality for tennis; occasionally showed what he might have been. Cary- Elwes has kept wicket very w'ell for the eleven, having greatly improved this season; a painstaking bat* Eyston has greatly improved in howling, coming in a lot from the leg; a capital field, with a sharp return; bats well at times, with a good leg hit. ward plays fast bowling fairly well; a good long-leg, with a straight return.
