In the 1st innings of Kent, Watson took 5 wickets for 38 runs, wh ile in the second, Crossland, who was not put on until very late, obtained 4 wickets for 5 runs. August 27.—Oval.—Kent v. Patterson, and E. F. S. Tylecote and George Heame a ll show a falling-off. The Rev. R. T. Thornton’s figures are very good, but it w ill be noticed he was three times not out.
