This club has only been established about two years, and has made remark I able pi ogress, but, owing to the small number of the clubs in the vicinity, ithas played but few matches this season, in all of which, however, it has carried off the I victory. A. Havers (15.2) would have made a better captain if less nervous; batein I very good style, and bowls well. F. B. Weld Blundell (23.1) baa only played inafew matches, and has shown better cricket than any other member of the club; avert powerful bat. A. Riley, a fair bat but poor field, has made some good scores; has 1 left. E. Howell, a good field, though rather slow; bats too carelessly, and wants I practice. C. C. Mackenzie (16), a hard left-handed hitter; has kept wicket in most I of the matches; a good catch. J. Macdonald bats too carelessly; a first-rate field | and splendid catch. B. Cox hits freely when set; a good fast round-handbowler, with | a pretty delivery. C. Smith, a steady bat; fields generally at point; rather slowin ( the field ; should practise more. J. Corballis is slow in fielding, but bats rather neatly. 0. Corballis neglects practice ; middling field ; wants practice. J.
