H. E. Coverdale has style and played several brilliant innings; his bowling is not quito up to the mark W. Ullathorne keeps wicket well, at times brilliant; good bat, scores fast and hits very hardon the off-side ; promising slow bowler. G. F. Stafford, a persevering bat and improved in bowling at the end of the season. S. J. Wheble, a good field, though B not quite soenergetic as one would wish. J. Ward, uncertain bat, runs badly between wickets; fields very fairly and throws in well. C. de Murrieta has improved in even- l respect this year, and on several occasions has fielded brilliantly T. M. Eyston, pro- B mising bat, but wants confidence; has been a very successful bowler all through the" r season, being very straight with a good pitch ; excellent field and sure catch. F. de t Murrieta is in every way a useful man ; has much improved this year, especially in | batting; bowls well, and on several occasions proved irresistible. L, Renault will be I a good and steady bat when he stands up to his wickets more ; slow in the field. F 1 Fotheringham, a usoful, steady, persevering bat, cuts well; wanting in style*anti 1 fielding.
