W ilson * has made a very energetic captain; is a good hard-hitting bat; a very fair change bowler, with plenty o f break both w a y s ; safe at the wickets. A. L. I ngall * has batted some exceedingly useful innings at the beginning of the season, with a very steady but slow style; was hindered afterwards b y ill-health; a poor field. J. B. J ameson , a pretty bat with a good style, but by no means steady; a moderate field. 0. P. H astings , a very neat bat indeed; has scored well all through the season and has done us much service ; a good field when he tries. A. L. N atier * batted well at the beginning of the season, but grew unsteady from want of care; has bowled well at times; a good field. R. W. L. F ernandes , a really good slow bowler on his day, with a large amount of break ; has proved our mainstay on more than one occas ion ; has batting in him ; a good field. E. S. R ichardson ,* a good hard hitting b a t ; came o f f fairly all through the season ; a very good field. J. H . A cheson , a useful bat, with stubborn defence but limited hitting powers; has a somewhat awkward action ; a sharp field at point. T. W. E. M oreton , a neat and steady bat; was impeded from playing part of the season; a good field. H. D avis , a good fast bowler, with a nice easy action ; a good field, and can bat when he takes the trouble. T.
