A good bat and out-field. E. B ray (Westminster), Surrey, M.C.C., Quidnuncs, and Free Foresters. A good slow round-liand bowler, with command of the ball; very careful bat, but slow scorer. D. B uchanan (Rugby), Warwickshire. Most Counties would be glad of his sorvicesas a bowler. Slow left; bowling with good judgment and an admirable length. Has been well known for years in the ranks of the Gentlemen of England. F . MI B uckland (Eton), Middlesex, M.C.C., and Harlequins. It ismuch to bo regretted that this good batsman, fair and very straight bowler, is so little seen on the cricket field. Is a master at Winchester College. C. W. L. B ulpett (Rugby), Middlesex. A very fast bowLr, fairly straight; a good hitter. C. W. B urls , Surrey, for which he occasionally has played. Good and steady bat; a change bowler; slow in the field. J. A. B ush (Clifton) Gloucestershire. A very good wicket-keeper; a left-handed bat, hits hard at times, but is not reliable. J. C armichael , Surrey. Moderate bat; good field at point. Rov. E. S. C arter , Yorkshire and Harlequins. An ugly bat, but frequently scores; now bowls lobs in place of fast round. A. C. C attley (Eton), Surrey. A vigorous hitter; a change bowler and fair field. S. W. C attley (Eton), Surrey. A steady bat with a neat cut; rather wanting in power; keeps wicket fairly. E. L. C hadwick , Lancashire. A good bat, and fair field. C. C. C larke , Surrey, M.C.C., I Zingari. Moderate bat, should be better; a change bowler; excellent field; an active and very keen cricketer. M. C. C larke , Surrey and M.C.C. A steady bat with good defence; has not been fortunate when tried for the County; fair field and wicket-keeper. C. E. C ottrell (Harrow), Middlesex, M.C.C., and I Zingari. Another who has not shown his best form when playing for his County; can bat well and in good style; bowls rather over medium-pace, with a curl. J. M. C otterill (Brighton), Sussex. Unfortunately this fine bat and all-round hitter has latterly been unable to play in any great matches. J. A. C ranston , Gloucestershire. A good and much improved left-hand bat and a very fair field. C. M. C unliffe (Rugby), Kent and M.C.C. A fairly useful man, can bat a bit, and bowls medium-pace with considerable success; a decent field. Did not play la6t season. A. W. C ursham . Now plays for Derbyshire, but has also figured for Notts. Moderate bat and field, but appears to have rather fallen off. J. W. D ale (Tonbridge), Middlesex, M.C.C., and Quidnuncs. Has been a fine bat with correct style; plays but seldom now. A good and active field; now and then bowls an over. L M. D ay , Gloucestershire. Pretty fair bat; slow field.
