In each team there were three changes. For the Gentlemen the Hon. Alfred Lyttelton, Mr. A. H. Trevor, and Mr. G. F. Vernon replaced Mr. Tylecote, Mr. G. B. Studd, and Mr. R. T. Ellis, while for the Players, Barnes, Selby, and Morley appeared instead of Gunn, Robinson, and Hill. On the form shown by the two bowlers up to this time,
