CHRISTOPHERSON, PERCY.-Could only play twice ; good bat and field . COLLINS, L. G. A. (Marlborough).- H a sagain proved his superiority in batting all round the wicket with perfect wrist action , his cutting through the slips being especially well timed ; can bowl , and a very neat field anywhere . COLLINS, L. P. (Marlborough).- Acapital bat, with sound defence , andcanhit hard, but has not quite played up to his reputation ; good out-field . CROOME, A. C. M. (Wellington and Oxford).- H a sproved an excellent captain of the team; adashing all -round hitter and good change bowler, getting plenty ofbreak both ways ; knows the gamein every department thoroughly . DAUGLISH, M. J. (Harrow and Oxford University ).- Afine wicket -keeper . Asabat has fully justified an earlier place in the order . His stand with L. G. Collins of 224 for the first wicket created a memorableMinorCounty record. FINCH, F. W. (Haileybury ).-Hadnot a single wicket to suit his slow leg- breaks ; again stopped manyruns at point . HILL, E. F.-A steady bat and change bowler ; could help the Countybut little . INGRAM, F. M. (Winchester and Oxford).-Hasreturned to form, andhas been usefulb o t has a b a ta n dfield. NEPEAN, C. Y. (Winchester).-A hard-working cricketer all round ; a watchful bat, punishes loose balls unmercifully ; is active in the field , especially at short slip . SHEA, S.V.-Disappointed the expectation madeof his batting . WHEBLE, Captain J. St. L.-Agood bat ; cool and collected , knows the game thoroughly ; a change bowler. WILLETT, E. K .-Could not help the County in 1898. WILLIAMS, R. A. (Winchester).-Unfortunately could only play twice for the County, butdistinguished himself then in batting andbowling. B U C K I N G H A M S H I R E . ALLCOCK, C. H.-A nindefatigable cricketer ; can bowl, bat and field , andhas been most useful in all the matches ; has a great knowledge of the game. BIRD, F.-A fine field and very safe catch ; played a very good innings on the only occasion whenhe was able to assist the County. BARTLETT , E. N. N.-Hits with great freedom when set ; a capital field and h a r dw o r k e r. CAVENDISH, H o n. C. W.-Played one excellent innings for the County, but owing to illness wasunable to play as muchas washoped; a fine free bat, andgood field , and should another year be of great assistance .
