N. R. Blaker: Bestbat w ehaveh a d for some years ; hits very hard all round the wicket , especially on the leg side ; should be first -class some day. Erratic fast bowler , with a good slow ball . Magnificent field anywhere. F. Young : A fair bat ; had a bad year, with a long run of ill -luck ; slow in makinghis runs. A very fair field . Rather expensive slow bowler. *H. R. Flack : Improved muchin batting the latter halfof the season , whenhis bowling fell off ;hits very hard for his size , andcuts well . A good left -hand bowler , fast medium. W. C. Stevens : Improved a good deal in batting ; very slow in making his runs . Failed to come on in bowling ,but a fair mediumpace bowler . B. H. Willett : Hada bad year as a batsman. Erratic fast bowler . *S. M.Anderson : Improved a lot as a batsman, although he finished the season badly ; hits very hard . Fair field . H. R. Lonsdale : Cameon the latter half of the season ; hits hard without style . Slowin the field . H. S. Bompas : Cameon wonderfully as a batsman; cuts very well , and a good wicket -keeper . Should be very good next year . *H. W. Beveridge : No bat , but a fair slow bowler . Good field . *W. V. Raynor : Splendid field , covering an immense amount of ground in the deep . Poor bat .
