1 7 6 LILLYWHITE'SCRICKETERS' ANNUAL. H esometimes fielded well at cover -point . R. W. Hopkins : A nungainly bat; his wicket was often a hard one to get. A very moderate wicket -keeper . P. Bramwell-Davis : A quick scorer , with a fair off -drive ; his defence is very weak. A fair field , with a poor return . K. Robertson : A correct bat ; he plays straight in his forward strokes , and times the ball well . Cankeep wicket . B. M. Tomlinson : If he can make more use of his strength and height to increase his pace he should be a dangerous fast bowler next year. In batting he at present finds it difficult to makethe bat hit the ball . D. L.
