Atchison : Though still not a consistent scorer , he has quite recovered his bowling form, andplayede cellent cricket on manyoccasions . His increase of pace improved his bowling , and, inspite of aninclination to get short , is often dangerous whenfirst he goes on. K. O. Goldie : A ninvaluable bat to the side , but his hitting , especially onthe off , was hardly as clean as it waslast year. Inbowling he wassteadier in his length , and got several wickets by judicious change of pace . Agood field . *W. B. Bailey : Aconfident hitter , with plenty of good scoring strokes ; his defence is still unsound. A slow bowler, with a fair length , and somebreak from the off . V. N. Lockett : Not a pretty bat, as he is stiff in the arms, but he watches the ball well , and his defence is strong . A very fair short slip . H. R. Elliot : A promising bat; his driving and cutting in earlier matches were very strong , but he seemed to lose confidence in later matches. A fair point . *E. L. Watt: Amoderate bat ; his strokes lacked variety and power.
