Is a very fine , free bat, with plenty of strokes all round the wicket . Anexcellent field anywhere , returning well to the wicket . F. V. Hutchings : A good, sound and correct bat. Has played some useful innings . Very good field at cover -point , *F. J. M. Postle- thwaite : Has been very disappointing this year, both as a bowler and bat. Played one good innings of 94. Good field at short slip . A. Brown : Areally goodwicket -keeper ; with care and practice should become quite first -class . Rather disappointing as a bat . *G. A. Scott : Agood fast bowler ; has been very effective on hard wickets . Can hit . A good field , R. H. Marriott : A good hard-hitting bat ; rather inclined to throw away his wicket . A good changebowler. Has improved in the field . *J. A. Zair : Canget runs in his ownway; played two very useful innings against Dulwich College and M.C.C. Nota very good field . R. C. Hutchings : Already shows promise of becoming a bat. Agood field at mid-off . Must learn to move quicker . R. F. Worthington : H a sbeen disappointing as a bat. A very certain field . Canbowl. G. S. Cooper : A good medium-faced bowler , Promises to be a good bat . Very good field at extra slip . R. M. Manser : Has improved very much as a bat. Should be very useful next year .
