Inbowling wasthe mainstay of the side , and promises to turn out an unusually good all -round cricketer . F. W. A. Rattigan : Abeautiful fast wicket bat. Useful fast bowler, Moderate field . H. J. Wyld: hard-hitting bat, with plenty of defence . Aslow left -handbowler of somemerit. Fairfield . E. B. T. Studd : Agood sound bat with plenty of strokes . Agood field . Hasbeen known to bowl . W. P. Robertson : A good steady bat. Quite a good wicket-keeper . A. S. Drew: Apainstaking correct bat ; hard hitter . Fair field . W. S. Medlicott : Goodsound bat, with muchpatience ; might perhaps hit near at times . The best field on the side . J. F. Wilkes : Only a moderatebat. Dashingfield , but uncertain . S. F. A. A. Hurt: Steady mediumbowler. Poor field . Useful bat to fast bowling , very weakto slow. G. Cookson : Very correct bat ; especially useful on slow wickets ; strong defence. Goodfield . C. R.
