Moss (captain ) : Hasproved a mostefficient bowler, altering pace and length with great judgment, and on a tricky wicket getting any amountof workon the ball . Hard-hitting bat, with great variety in his strokes . As captain could not have been improved upon, his judgmentin changing his field being specially good. Hashad rather hard luck in the results of somematches. *S. Heaton: Goodbat, scoring chiefly on leg side W a smost unlucky at the beginning of the season, and in conse- quence ost heart and confidence . Goodfield , but throws in rather wildly . quence *C. C. T. Doll : A nexcellent bat, andhas been invaluable to the side as a run- getter . Splendid field . H. N. Hole : Goodbat, scoring very fast whenstarted avery steady medium good length bowler . Agood field . * G. Crosdale : Has kept wicket well, taking leg-balls with exceptional precision ; is apt to get careless at times . As a bat muchimproved. *V. G. Harmsworth : A really good natural fast left -hand bowler ; bowls a ball at times that might beat anyone; should try to bowl a slower ball at times , and take more pains at practice . H a sscored most consistently as a bat. Poor field . A. H. Tompson : Agoodbat with a nice off-drive ; is a rather slow scorer . but a very useful m a n togo in first . Goodout-field . L. E. Milburn : Right-hand mediumbowler ; hasbowled very well at times , but must learn not to bowl to leg .. Moderate bat, and muchimproved field , but mustdash in more. B. E. G. Eddis : Good bat,watches the ball well and times his strokes beautifully ; with more strength should makea good bat. Goodfield . A. P. Strange : Fair bat, but is inclined to tie himself downto scoring off one stroke , viz ., off -drive , and in choosing the wrong ball to try it on has often got himself out . Uncertain field . *G. Kinloch : Played for the eleven mostly at commencementof season . Goodlength , slow right -hand bowler. Hard-hitting bat, but should, when having " a go " at one, jumpto the ball more.
