The Frames are of best selected Ash, and are seasoned for along period after the bending before they are strung , thus enabling them to stand the great tension of the very tight stringing to which they are subjected without warping , and the workmanship is of the highest order . This is a Racket similarly shaped and strung to the " Lillywhite ," but with the difference that it is fitted with a CaneHandle(spliced in like a cricket bat handle),which gives great spring , strength , and driving power, and can further be produced very muchlighter in weight if desired. Accidents to this Racket in consequence of striking the ground are very rare , owing to spring obtained from CaneHandles 321.-J. L.
