(Shrewsbury).- H a sbowled well , right -hand fast ; in batting bloftis too eager to score ; fine out-field . KINNEIR, S. P.-Goodleft -handbat ; useful bowler (right ) ; was of great help ted to the side on the few occasions he played . LAVERTON, H. C.-Fast right -hand bowler ; nowin India with his regiment . LAVERTON, F. W . (Marlborough).-Stylish but uncertain bat ; fine field ; useful changebowler. LONG, W. H., Jun. (Harrow).-Promising ; too eager as a bat ; fine and safe field in the country. (Eton).-Has maintained and enhanced his reputation as a cricketer ; headed the batting averages this season , and was an excellent captain. RADCLIFFE, O. G.-Dangerous batsman, when set scoring fast ; effective as a bowlerat times; good field . REYNOLDSR.-- Unfortunately not available this season , owing to business duties. SHORLAND, E. T. (Marlborough).--- A run-getting bat with plenty of confidence ; useful fast mediumbowler (right hand). SNELL, H. S. (Cambridge).- Abrilliant and safe field ; improving bat with good defence ; was of great service to the side . STANCOMB, F. W. (Harrow).-A good bat ; not so suecessful this season , STEVENS, J. E, (Sherborne and Oxford).- T h ebest bat on the side , with great punishing power; uncertain in the field at commencementof, but im- proved greatly as the season advanced. (Repton and Oxford).-Good bat ; splendid field and useful b o w l e r. FOSTER, H. K. (Malvern and Oxford).--Captains the team; fine bat and safe field. FOSTER, R. E. (Malvern and Oxford).-- Promises to be as good a bat as H. K. FOSTER, W. L. (Malvern).-Punishingbat, nearly always safe for runs ; fine field ; military duties keep him out of the team. ISAAC , A. W. (Harrow).-Hard-hitting bat ; generally scores ; good field . JOBSON , E. P.-A smart andreliable bat ; fine field and useful change bowler. RHODES , T. B. (Malvern ).-Splendid wicket -keeper , should become first -rate ; capital and hard-hitting bat. SIMPSON , G. H. (Malvern and Cambridge).-Uncertain bat; plays finely when set ; excellent field , andcanbowl. TOPPIN, C. (Cambridge).-Finefast bowler and field ; good bat; excellent judge of the game. WILKES, W.H.-Steady bat, and, for his height , can hit very hard; fine field atpoint. BROMLEYMARTIN, G. (Oxford).-Playsfor Worcestershire .
