One of the best amateur fast bowlers in Eng- land; muchimproved bat, and good field . LUCAS, A. P. (UppinghamandCambridge).-Plays in correct style , with great defence; good field , and useful slow bowler. MCGAHEY, C.-Asmart bat , quite one of the best in the County ; good field . OWEN, H. G. (Cambridge ).- Asound and careful batsman ; a good field ; captained the team ably. PERRIN, P.-One of the best bats in the County; strong defence , and can hit well at times. FANE, F. L. A useful bat ; bowls fast ; fair KITCAT, S.A.P. (Marlborough).- Agood bat ; fair field ; bowls a little , medium p a c e. MCHEMINGWAY, W. (Uppinghamand Cambridge).--A free hitting bat , likely to bedangerous at any time. RICE, R. W. (Oxford).-Hasa very fine defence , and is very steady ; cannot play as oftenas couldb e w i s h e d. RICHARDSON, A. G .-Played useful cricket for the County in several matches. SEWELL , C. O. H. (South Africa ).-Is a fine hitting bat with good defence ; excellentfield . TOWNSEND, C. L. (Clifton ).-Still one of the best amateur slow bowlers in England; breaks both ways , and uses his head well ; an excellent left- handedbatsman and good field . WINTON, S. D. D e. A useful bat, and smart field . BATEMAN- CHAMPAIN, F. H., and WRIGHT, Е. С. (Oxford ); and JESSOP, G. L. (Cambridge), play for Gloucestershire . H A M P S H I R E . ANDREW, W.-A good bat and field ; useful change bowler ; had a very suc cessfulseason. BARRETT, E. I. M. (Cheltenham ).- Avery promising batsman ; slow in the field. BARTON, Captain G. C.
