COLLINS , L. G. A. (Marlborough ).-The most finished bat in the County , all round the wicket with perfect wrist action , his cutting through the slips being especially well timed ; can bowl , and a very neat field anywhere . COLLINS, L. P. (Marlborough).-Acapital bat, with sound defence , and can hit hard; good out-field . CROOME, A. C. M. (Wellington and Oxford).- H a sacted as captain of the team; a dashing all -round hitter and good change bowler , getting plenty of break both ways; knowsthe gamein every department thoroughly . DAFFEN, A.-A good bat ; slow but sure ; fast right -arm bowler , coming off the pitch with some break , very quickly . DAUGLISH, M. J. (Harrowand Oxford University C.C.) .- Afine wicket -keeper a free bat, makesruns occasionally . FINCH, F. W. (Haileybury). O n his day a most effective slow bowler, right- arm,with plenty of curl from leg ; very useful at point . INGRAM, F. M . (Winchester).- Asafe run-getting bat, and excellent cover- point. MORRES, E. R.-A stylish bat and good field ; canbowl. MORRES, H. F.-A free bat, with good style ; a fair mediumto fast right -arm bowler ; safe field . NEPEAN, Captain C. E. M.Y .-Ahard-working cricketer all round; a watch- ful bat,punishes loose balls unmercifully ; can bowl a useful medium pace , and is active in the field , especially at short slip . W H E B L E, Captain J. St. L .-Agood bat ; cool and collected , knows the game thoroughly ; might have been tried as a change bowler . WILLETT, E. K.-Asound bat whenset , and brilliant field . WILLIAMS, R. A. (Winchester).-Hasnot been well enoughto justify his schoo reputation ; ought to make a fine bat , and good bowler . B U C K I N G H A M S H I R E . ALLCOCK, C. H.-A nindefatigable cricketer ; can bowl, bat and field , and has beenmost useful in all the matches ; has a great knowledge of the game. BIRD, F.-A fine field and very safe catch ; has not at present quite come up to expectations with the bat. BARTLETT, E. N. N.-Has improved greatly this year ; hits with great freedom w h e nset ; a capital field a n dhardworker.
