A t times is too apt to rund o w nthe pitch at wideballs. H a snotbowledm u c h, but generally gets a wicket whenhe goes on ; keeps a good length and breaks a gooddeal . Aclean vigorous field , and safe catch . *A. E. Hind: Themain- stay of the team with both bat and ball . Hasfully deserved his position at the top of the averages by steady and consistent scoring all through the season . N o t so successful with the ball as last year, but is nevertheless at the head of the bowling averages . Is a safe field , and altogether will be hard to replace . *C. E. Wilson : A brilliant bat all round the wicket . Has plenty of confidence andscores very fast ; especially brilliant in his cutting andoff -drives . Started exceedingly well, but wasunlucky later on. Hasbeen invaluable with his lobs . Slowin the field . *H. A good field at mid-off . *C. G. Bishop : A steady , pains- taking bat, but inclined to be too cautious . Plays back too much. Improved later on in the season and batted with more confidence . A good field . C. E. Winter: Awicket -keeper decidedly above the average . Hasfilled the post with the greatest success . As a batsmanwas unlucky at first , butsoon showedgreat improvement, developing some fine cuts . Will be valuable next year. G. H. S.
