T. Lee: His batting has been disappointing , and his ill -success has had a demoralising effect on the batting of the side. Keeps wicket in good style , and can bowl a little . H. M. Worsley : Gets his runs in very good style , though he does not always play quite straight . Has made manybeautiful cuts , but has a dangerous stroke in the slips . Has not comeon, as a bowler so much as had beenhoped. Akeen and goodfield . *A. G. Biden : A pretty good bat, with a capital off -drive , but a weakstroke on the leg-side . A good field , andhas done his best all round by taking pains to ensure success . *A. M. Hilton : Bats well enough in a net ,but in a matchtries to hit all balls on the leg stump to square leg. H esucceeds frequently , but haslost his wicket manytimes in trying the stroke . Improved very muchas a bowler, slow left -hand with slight break from the off , and has fielded well. E. G. de C. Brooke : A steady bowler, right -handmediumpace, with a high action ; makes the ball get up quickly . Wasvery successful against Bradfield . Stiff bat, but not unpromising. Slowin the field . Hon. N. C. Gathorne -Hardy: Batsin very pretty style , though at present weak in cutting ; poor field ; m a y makea bowler some day. A. C. T. Woodward: Promising bat, as he plays theball hard; in the field generally holds a catch , but very poor on the ground. C. G. Trollope : Bats in good style , but has not been very successful . Slowand uncertain field , lacking dash. H. L. Slater : Not a good bat; mowswith his arms instead of using his wrists . Fair long field . V. R. S. R. Balfour -Browne: A painstaking bat, who looks like developing good defence ; is at present handicapped by lack of inches . Keen and hard -working field .
