Fraser: A sa bat has not been as successful as was hoped, though he bats with spirit and vigour . Style very faulty . Painstaking field . Goodcaptain . *C. H. Jupp : A very fast bowler. Ahardhitter , capable of scoring freely . Fair field . F. C. Smith : Asabat , muchimproved both in style and power . Apainstaking and useful field on the ground . W. T. White : Has improved more in bowling than in batting , though his style is good and solid , and promises well . Withmore agility would make a fine field . A. H. Spooner : Perhaps the soundest bat in the team. Very effective with the cut, A trustworthy wicket -keeper . C. B. Smith : A good defensive bat, and gets his runs in good style . Capital point . *F. E. G. Talbot : Has much improved in all departments of the game; batting style very correct , and will gain yet in power. Sometimes bowls an ugly ball . *A. H. C. Fargus : Adangerous and improving bat, useful change bowler, hard- working field , uncertain catch . C. W. Allen : A fair bat, with some good strokes on the off . Middling field . F. C. Swaine : Fair and improved left- handbowler ; often useful with the bat , less often in the field . *A.T. Toomey : A neasybut steady change bowler , very fair at times; shows willingness in t h efield.
