Agood bowler at times , muchbetter than would appear by his analysis . A fine field . F. Kershaw: A n unorthodox batsman, with considerable scoring power; devotes himself too much to the hook stroke . A good fielder and a moderate bowler. T. N. Bateman Champain: A very fair but disappointing batsman; takes great pains ,but does not develop strokes . A steady point . *A. B. Skinner : A very dangerous hitter , with great driving powerand a beautiful cut, but will not attempt to settle down . Asplendid field , with a perfect return . *F. M. Luce : Amost trustworthy bat ; with strong defence and plenty of strokes ; always makesruns whenthey are wanted. Afair slow left -handbowler and avery safe field . G. F. Collett : Avery muchimproved player , with a strong and straight forward stroke and drive . Played a perfect innings v. Marlborough . A good field at slip . E. R. Wyatt : A fair batsman ,lacking in power. A very fair field , and a steady but disappointing bowler . C. Turnbull : Does not use his height in playing , but can hit hard . A very good field , with extraordinary reach . *C. G. Collins : Avery fair wicket -keeper , above the average . Amoderate batsmanwith animpossible style . *P. Healing : Asteady , painstaking batsman, w h oat last wonhis place in the XI. after three years of waiting . Aslow but muchimproved field . W. H.
