Shine (capt .) : W a sunfortu- nately engaged in playing for the University all the term. A very good fast bowler anda punishing hitter . A splendid field . J. E. Linnell : Hasscored consistently throughout the term. A most excellent bat, with a useful cut. A good field . A. C. Miller : Avery good, useful bowler . A nexcellent field and a g o o dbat, but seemsinclined to hit too freely before h e is set. J. A. F. Wilgress : Unfortunately was often unable to play through illness . A slow but useful bat, but quite useless in the field . R. H. Browne: Has hardly done himself justice with the bat this season , but is a useful change bowler, and a very good untiring field . O. W. Wright : Aconsistent andgood bat, and is a goodbowler, bowling a really excellent slow ball , but is inclined sometimes to bowl fast and trust to luck. H. S. Crook : Agood punishing bat, hitting well all round the wicket . Goodfield , and useful change bowler. J. Duncan: A hardhitter , but quite an unfinished bat. Hasgot runs whenwanted. Un- certain field . J. P. Simeon: Ahardhitting bat,but very inconsistent . G o o d field andhas taken the wicket on occasion. with moderate success throughout the season . Plays with a straight bat, but is a slow scorer . H. F. Severn: H a skeptwicket Aweakbat. R. de L. White : Fields fairly well .
