A nimposing bat, but rather inclined to hit too much; good change fast bowler and smart field ; averaged 15 runs for 20 innings . HILL, J. E.-Sound bat ; hits well all round the wicket , generally getting runs : good field , safe catch ; only played six innings in 1896 , with an averageof 13. PEREIRA, Rev. E. (Sherborne , and Exeter College , Oxford,.-A most consistent run-getter ,and most punishing bat ; a good field . KINNEIR, S. P. Has left the County.
