D. Fisher (captain ) : Afiner all -round cricketer than the. School has hadfor manyyears . Madefull use o his great reach , and played finely all round the wicket , his forward strokes being the feature of his play . As a bowler he returned to his form of two years ago, andwas simply invaluable ,keeping an excellent length and having aconsiderable off-break . He should certainly be heard of again . Captained the team well . A. Whittow: Avigorous bat, but never fulfilled his early promise , nor did he recover his bowling . Fielded very well in the country , and was a useful reserve wicket -keeper. L. J. Moon: Scored heavily and consis- tently throughout the year, and was the only memberof the teamto show anything like true form against Charterhouse . Abatsman with manygood strokes , his cutting especially being beautiful . He was only once dismissed underdouble figures . H eperformed the duties of stumper with great success . Greatthings are expected of himin the future . H. O. C. Beasley : Though nota taking bat played several very useful innings . Could hit when he chose with plenty of power . A very hard-working and useful field . R. E. More : Will be captain next year . A capital medium-paced bowler , and has taken wickets consistently throughout the year . Avery free bat ,having an excellent off-drive , which he always makes the best use of. Should be the mainstay of the teamboth in batting and bowling next year. A safe field . W. F. Fox: W a srather disappointing , being better than his average shows. Thoughnot possessed of much reach his drives were very clean and hard . Auseful slow bowler , often getting wickets when most needed . Smart field . C. Van der Gucht: W a sunable, through ill -health , to do himself justice ; whenin form a very taking bat . Much is expected of him next year . A safe catch . R. E. Murray:A- left-handed bat, who did not have muchchance of distinguishing himself ; should have improved muchmoreboth as abatsmananda bowler. A somewhat uncertain field . R. N. R. Blaker : Failed to fulfil expectations , but hasthe makings of a splendid bat, and will perhaps do himself justice another year. A nextremely fine field in any position . S. L. T. Taswell : Showed promise inboth departments , and played one good innings , but has unfortu- nately left . F. Young : Did not begin the season well , but improved later . A tead y bat, but should be of great service next year. A nimproving field .
