A patient bat, but fails to punish a loose ball . A successful point . W. M. Turner : A strong player onthe off-side , but is at present weak on his leg stump. A steady bowler, with a certain amount of work from the off. A safe field . *P. B. Warburton : A good left -hand slow bowler. Hadnot manywickets to suit him this year, but madeexcellent use of his few opportunities . Asa bat can score freely ,buthis defence is very poor. H. R.
