H a sa good knowledge of the game; is a sound, safe bat, not afraid to hit or cut, and a first -class wicket -keep. *С . М . Н. Howell : Has improved considerably and developed into a good bat , hitting well all round the wicket ; generally safe for runs. Useful field and change bowler. *L. G. Moir: Disappointing as a bat ; would probably be better ona slow wicket . Canbowl. *E. A. H. Blunt : Agreatly improved bat, with a nice stroke off his legs ; has been very useful at a pinch morethan once. Useful change bowler . W. Prest : Greatly improved, both as a bat and field ; at the beginning of the season too muchinclined to pull , now plays a straight free game. *L. A. Rogers : A fine hitter when once set ; a beautiful field at third man, and the safest of catches . L. P. Collins : Has all the makings of a first
