Agoodground field , but has taken to missing catches . Afair bowler . A. D u Boulay : Afine upstanding batman; plays better than ever whenruns are needed . Agood field . Bowled steadily and well at all times . *C. D. Best : Areally first -rate wicket -keeper , neat , safe , and quick . Of immense value to the side . Moderate bat. * R. F. Finké: A fair batsman; did not improve. A good point . *D. Robertson : Afair batsmanand field . A useful but unreliable bowler. A. B. Skinner : Only got iuto form towards end of season . Hits with great determination and power; played most valuable innings versus Marlboroughand Haileybury . F. Kershaw: Amost consistent scorer ; lacks style ,but has good defence and scoring power. Quick and accurate in the field . R. Thornton : Avery neat and sound little batsman; cuts well and has strong defence . A first -rate field . J. N. B. Champain: A good sound bat ; plays very well on leg side . Improvedas a bat and field morethan anyone on the side . F. M. Luce : Avery useful left -handbowler ; thoroughly sound field anywhere.
