Officers in Her Majesty’s Service, at home or abroad, by entrusting their orders to J. L . , F . and Co. beg to inform the public that Orders from persons unknown to them should invariably he accompanied by a remittance to the value of the goods ordered, or, if this is unknown, to the probable value. Inattention to this particular is likely to cause delay. Any surplus remittances will be returned on demand, or passed to the credit of the purchaser. In cases where accounts have been opened with clubs, &c., it is necessary that the order should he signed by the Secretary or other responsible officer.
