Philipson scored 43 and 35 (in each case not out), besides getting five of the fourteen Oxford batsmen out at the wicket.—In match between Abbey School, Beckenham, and Stratheden House, Blackheath, on May 29, the first eleven, Beckenham, scored 216 runs for 6wickets, and dismissed their opponents twice for 18 and 29 in three hours and a half.—On the same day, between the same Schools, the second eleven (Beckenham) scored 259 for 6 wickets, and dismissed Stratheden House (2nd XI.) for 33 and 33 in the same time.
