W illiam H enry . —Born at Old Radford, March 25, 1868. 5 ft. 10in.; 12st; a first-class fast bowler, getting up very quickly from the pitch and coming hack; a good out-field and tree bat, hitting well all round ; was quite out of form with both bat and ball last season. A good bat, with considerable hitting powers; fast bowler, and very fine out-field ; played fine cricket throughout past season, and had an average of 31*80 for Surrey. Address : Thames Ditton. R iciiardsox , T.—Born at Morden. August 11, 1870. One of the very best fast bowlers of the day, keeps a good length, and comes back at times a good lot; took 237 wickets for Surrey last season, and 290 in all first-class matches ; can bat well, and is a good field. Address: Mitcham; e Oval. S treet , A. E.—Born at Godaiming, July 7,1871; made a great advance as a batsman last season, and was second in the averages with 38*76. T hompson , W. — A promising all-round cricketer, being a steady bat, good slow bowler, and safe field. Address: Kennington Oval. W ood , H enry . —Born at Dartford, December 14, 1854. 5 ft. 3$ in.; lOst. 3lbs.; a good bat, very strong on the off-side; played excellent cricket last season, and was third in the Surrey batting averages with 33; one of the best wicket-keepers of the day.
