Matches played, 17; won, 15; drawn 1 •lost, 1.—A record season, the school bowler being absent during part of the one match which was lost by the narrow margin of 111 runs. Ihe drawn match was against Elstree, at Elstree. where the Abbey declared then- innings closed, the previous match having resulted m an easy victory for Beckenham. ~E H’. Ih'llon (35): Au excellent left-hand bat; drives well to the off. Steady and effective bowler. A most reliablo captain. E. B. (20): A thoroughly sound bat with patient defence ; unlucky at the beginning of the season. E. IT. Comabe (121): A very patient bat, but wants more punishing o f power. A poor field. L. E. Milburn (18): A hard hitter, with plenty v-------- hat not reliable. Fair change bowler, (i. J). Craig (14): Vreliable and steady bat, wanfs power. A very good point. B. (A Cbanner (11): Fair defence, but lacks punishing power, and is slow in the field. (). }\ Q.
