Stephenson (26) (captain): Has captained the team well through a fairly successful season. Is himself top of the hatting and howling averages, which speaks for itself, and is also a very good field at times (Has left). * Jf. 'Turnbull (18): A very good, steady bat. After the first few matches has been a consistent scorer. Splendid field anywhere. . * A. E. Bumie (14): A very thorough and finished bat, having strong strokes all round the wicket, and plays in excellent style. Moderate slow bowler. P^irst-rate field. * O . DorJrcr (18): At times a useful bat, but lacks style and defence. A fast scorer when in, but usually very lucky. Good fast bowler, and safe field, * l\ T. Alien (11) : A very fair bat; should improve immensely if he takes care, but should learn to use his arms more. Took to the wickets towards the end of the season, where he got on exceedingly well, and is undoubtedly as good a wicket-keeper as the School has ever had. C. Freston (13): A good all round cricketer. As a bat plays very fair cricket. Good bow ler, though off at the end of the season. Safe field. W. Sharpe (14) : Bats very steadily, but slowly, having a style of his own. Cuts well, though frequently off the “ sticks.” Good and improving field. * IT. /). K. Jfair (28): Strong bat on the off side, but rather weak on the on. I^air bowler, and moderate field. ,/. M. Figgis (7) : A good bat, but fails to come off in matches. Fair field; in this department he has improved considerably since last year. 1L B. Durrant (10): A pretty bat, but is not strong enough to make many runs. P'air field. E. J. IT. Jendtvint (8): Has plenty of batting in him, but does not do himself justice in the matches ; has a strong off-drive, but seems afraid to use it. Excellent field. BATTING AVERAGES. W . I). K.
